Polite and truly kind, making friends isn't necessarily the hard part of Lyn. It's the keeping part that throws the curve balls for her. Both due to her status and her almost obsessive love of books, she has trouble keeping her friends and gaining a deeper relationship with them.

Despite being a bit more mature than a fair amount of other fourteen year olds, she still sighs over the idea of love. Newly of an acceptable marrying age, Lyn is beginning to really look at men and boys but, luckily, since she is the youngest in her family and the third girl-child she doesn't need to worry too terribly much. Her father will, hopefully, not marry her off and she can dream of her prince charming.
She is currently single.

At this moment in time Lyn's only real enemies are her debate partners since she won't give any ground on anything, even if she is wrong. Stubborn as a mule and well learned to boot, she will argue just about anything. It's the fact that she just has to be right about everything that has earned her the dirty looks some of the castle scholars send her way.

Lynette's family is huge. She loves them all but has a bit of a rocky relationship with those of her family that treats the commoners with disdain and hatred.
