A sigh escaped the boy as he sat in the field. His silver hair whipped around in the light breeze. His silver eyes moved across the field, looking for something. Anything that can distract him. It was mid afternoon and the sun was slowly setting in the horizon.
Why was he just sitting here? Well, there was no people out here. At least, none that he could see. Not only this, but tonight was the full moon. Everyone knows that if your a shifter, you have no choice but to change during the full moon. He didn't want to be around anybody when it happened either. He looked around the fields, watching the flowers. It was beautiful. He liked it here. It was nice and peaceful. He could actually think and concentrate here. He stood up and drew his twin swords. Maybe a little practice will make the time go by faster.
He took a deep breath and began swinging the swords gracefully around. He imagined his opponents in front of him, cutting their heads off, stabbing them through their gut, and piercing their throats. About thirty minutes of nonstop practice, he began to sweat. The liquid trickled down his face and neck. His clothes stuck to him. The breeze came, cooling him a bit.
He let out a low growl. This isn't fun without a person to spar with. He wanted a bit of a challenge. Even a small one. He looked at the sky again, waiting for the moon to rise to its full height so he could change. Yet, the sun wasn't even behind the horizon yet, which clearly pissed him off. He sheathed his swords and laid back on the ground, watching the cloudless sky.
The flowers around him let out a sweet scent, which increased with his senses. They were different colors, some purple, others pink, some even blue and orange. He didn't know the names of them, but the colors surely interested him. After a few minutes, he began to hum a small tune. His voice wasn't bland like many peoples. In fact, it was quite beautiful.

"My, my such determination, even though you're sparring with air. " The nonchalant voice of a man would suddenly interrupt the boy's training session, as if he had been watching the entire time. Strangely enough, at the time he said this he was only yards away from the boy. And yet, had the boy noticed his presence? As far as Royll could tell he of course did not. Royll was clapping now, as he progressed a little closer. His soft steps echoed as mere taps, that would have surely been noticeable when he first came upon the field of flowers. The shifter would now be able to get a good look at the approaching man. He had blonde straggly hair, a lone piece of which covered the space between his two eyes; which were even further blocked by an odd green and white hat that sat atop his head. A small grin sat upon his face as he came to a stop, significantly closer to the laying boy. The clapping ceased as well, and now the boy would be met by an overlooking, rather cheerful face. "Beautiful huh: the flowers of this field?" Royll adjusted his hat with this comment and knelt down beside the boy. At his side the boy would now notice was a blade, sheathed in black. However, Royll did not linger in the kneeling position, he only stayed long enough to pluck a few flowers from the field. Thereafter, he held them up to his face and sniffed them as he stood upright again. "Y'know, one of my friend's ashes were spread into a breeze here. Although, I hardly expect that is the reason you are here young one." Royll chuckled and then looked up at the slowly setting sun. He knew he should be getting back, but he had hardly expected to find anyone in this field, in his field.

Doku glanced up as he heard a voice. He smirked, but said nothing. Suddenly he heard the man say that his friends ashes were buried out here. He looked up at the man again. "No, that's not why I'm out here," he muttered, his voice low. He didn't know what to do around this guy. He didn't trust him.
He moved his silver eyes up to the man's gray ones. His eyes narrowed a bit. What does he want? he wondered as he sat up. He looked at the sunset again. Where was the moon? He didn't need a guy here when he changed. He didn't want to hurt him on accident. Or on purpose, in case he had to defend himself. He stood up finally. The other guy was a bit taller than him.
"I'm here for my own personal reasons. You don't need to know," he added, his voice emotionless as he continued to gaze at the setting sun. He looked at the guy again, wondering what he was doing here. "What about you?" he asked, looking around the field.

Royll looked slightly confused by the boy's question, as if the answer had already been given prior to it. However, he wasn't going to shy away from it, especially if the boy really couldn't deduce his reasons for being in this field. It would be rude to assume that the boy could not in fact understand, but then again, he already seemed on edge. Royll didn't want to push him over that edge either; for there was something about him he just couldn't place. "I try to come here as often as I can...to pay my respects..." Perhaps such a declaration would calm the boy; he was tense and suspicious when he really had no reason to be. In fact, Royll even backed away as the boy glared at him again. He could tell something just wasn't right. His last intentions were to put the boy on edge quite like he did, but he was also beginning to wonder what personal reasons the boy could possibly have for being out here.

Doku snorted a bit. He glanced at the ma. "Well you might want to hurry up and do that. You don't want to be here when the moon comes up," he said, a small growl among his voice. His silver hair covered his eyes a bit. They didn't betray any emotions.
The sun was almost set now. The breeze picked up a bit, as if it knew what was about to happen. Doku looked back at the setting sun. A few more minutes. he thought, his eyes shining from the light that was left. The sky was pink, orange, and yellow. It was beautiful. It would be even better if he didn't live in fear all the time. He wasn't scared of anybody, only of hurting them. It wouldn't be the first time he lost control and killed someone.
He shivered a bit. He wasn't cold, but he could feel the moon. It was calling for him. It wanted him to change. He clenched his hands into fists. He didn't want to change yet. Not while this guy was unarmed. Not without being warned. If this man didn't leave, he would have to tell him. He would have to so the man would be prepared.

Royll chuckled as if he were amused by the boy's warning. In fact, he didn't seem put off by it at all. All he did in reaction was adjust his hat and look up at the now nearly set sun. There were still a few minutes to spare, and regardless, the man had seen the boy's kind before; that is as long as his suspicions were right. This sure was a good place to change to, he had to admit. Perfectly secluded, to minimize the threat to other people. "Now now, easy there, don't let the change be in charge of your actions. After all, it is a gift you were given, you need to learn to control it; through control you will rid your fear of it. Then there will be no need to seclude yourself." As it turned out, the man did back away as the change was beginning to occur, however he had no intentions of leaving, despite the facts of the situation. He hadn't even made a move for the blade at his side. "You certainly have a few admiral traits. You would go so far as to push people away to protect them...Hm I wonder how is that working out for you? Where are the others of your kind...or perhaps you are on your own now?" No doubt such questioning went beyond the inquisitive mind; it would certainly be obvious that the man before the shifter had experience with such. Perhaps he would come off as cocky, but he really was only trying to help. If the boy really wanted him to leave he would. All he had to do was ask.

Doku looked at the man when he said that. His eyes narrowed, a bit suspicious. "How do you know what I am?" he asked, taking a step towards the man. His teeth were growing into fangs. He was going to let the change out slowly so he could talk to the man. His heart pounded in his chest so much he thought the man could hear it. This guy was a quick thinker, he wasn't anyone to mess with.
He turned away from him as he bared his fangs. "I can control it any other time, just not during the full moon," he stated, a little sad. His voice cracked a bit, betraying his emotions. He let out a small snarl, but looked back at the man. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to control himself. "I don't know of any others like me. I've learned by myself," he added, a hint of anger and sadness in his voice.
"And how do you know so much of the shifters?" he asked, curiosity filling his eyes. His nails began to grow into sharp, black claws. The stabbed his at his hand, blood welling up at the tiny puncture wounds.

Royll held up a finger to the rapidly changing boy and shook it at him. Questions, questions it seemed the lad was filled with them. However, the man before him could not answer all, at least not now. There wasn't enough time; soon the change would be too much for him to bear and then it would all be too late. Not that he couldn't handle himself should the boy lose control of his body entirely that is. It was best to answer at least a few of questions. "Now think for a minute, why do you suppose that is? Is it merely because your powers are derived from it as a source or is there something deeper to it all. The mind is powerful; control is relative. If your will is strong enough you can even best your instincts." Now Royll wasn't ignoring the boy's first question, there would be a time for such an explanation, however that time had not come; and now he had stepped forward closer to the shifter, obviously disregarding any potential threat to his own well-being. "Now boy, before you change, attack me." The statement was simple. and his tone was commanding; and yet he bore such an odd smirk on his face. Still, the blade remained at his side; did he really intend to defend himself without a weapon? Regardless, the man continued closer to him, stopping when he was only a few feet away. "Focus...you can feel it right? The struggle, the resistance; all you need is a distraction. Now attack me!"

Doku listened. He listened carefully, but the change continued. His pupils turned to slits. His vision became much sharper. His senses heightened. Suddenly the man told him to attack him. He tensed, unsure. He looked away, but the man talked again. A distraction? he thought. He thought and thought.
"I can't," he stated, relaxing a bit. The sun had set by now. He was using a lot of his strength not to change. He looked up, looking straight at the moon. It made his hair shine a bit. His eyes widened. He felt his bones start to change. They grew and reformed inside of his body. He let out a howl of pain, falling onto his hands and feet.
He tried to resist it, but his hands and feet started changing into paws, yet they still had fingers and thumbs. Silver fur began to grow out of his skin. Muscles began to tense up, skin stretching. He looked at the man, snout growing. His ears moved to the top of his head. The laid back and he snarled at the man. His clothes ripped and fell to the ground. He wasn't a Werewolf. He was a fox. On all fours he stood up to the man's shoulder. On his hind legs he stood at eight foot tall, a lot taller than the other guy.
He snarled, but there was a resistance. It didn't attack. It took a step forward, but there was plenty of hesitating. It growled and let out a roar, fangs dripping saliva. Its silver eyes were filled with rage, but there was something else. Worry?

...A fox...huh? Royll thought as he observed the fully transformed state of the boy he had been conversing with. Perhaps he was was wrong and the boy wasn't yet ready; and that would be apparent by his unwillingness to attack. Regardless, now wasn't the time to think on such things. For whatever reason, the fox, what the boy formed into had not attacked. Something, something inside was resiting that most basic of urges; and Royll used this to his advantage. He jumped back, and seemed to soar through the air. "Looks like I have to push a bit harder. I didn't wish for it to come to this, but I am hardly left with any choice in the matter now." With a sigh, the man drew his blade, and its silver steel gleamed in the moonlight. Yet, there was something unnatural about it. It glowed too. A faint blue hue surrounded it as Royll held it at his side. The color swirled, and formed into an energy of its own, but never left the blade itself. "You have but one choice: control, or death young one." The man's voice was stern, dead serious; or so it would seem. After all, the boy, if he could still hear him couldn't be hundred percent sure if the man actually meant to end his life. However, all would be answered, as Royll took a step forward and disappeared with flash of his own afterimage. Less than second later, the shine of his blade would be seen from the fox's side. Then it would shift, hardly seeming to strike at all, and yet the slash was still prevalent. The gleam of the blade would be the only guide as Royll danced around the fox slashing away. His true intentions hidden flashes of steel, and that blue hue that was ever so present in the air. It lingered; little blue specks of light slowly filling up the air with each passing second.

Doku snarled as the man drew his blade. He said something that it could just barely understand. It roared, raising its paw. It stepped forward, but stopped again, hesitating. Suddenly the man moved just as the wind blew, making it as if he blew away like the mist. He appeared at Doku's side, an image of a blade. Suddenly, blood spurted out of the wound on his shoulder.
A howl of pain came from the creature. Its paws reached down for the twin blades. Although his clothes had ripped off, the belt he had on was stretchy enough to form with him. He pulled them out, letting the moon shine on them. It was odd, seeing a shifter fight with weapons while in animal form. It growled and began to swing the weapons gracefully, parrying and blocking the attacks.
After a few minutes, he moved back. "Why do you attack? I have done nothing to you, human," he growled, although it was barely understandable. His eyes narrowed, watching the man carefully. Blood dripped down his shoulder. He let that arm relax a bit, but kept the other one at the ready. His ears perked up suddenly as a noise came to his ears. Howls. He snarled. It wasn't the howl of werewolves. It wasn't strong enough. A pack of wolves ran towards them, yet these wolves were odd. They weren't werewolves, but they were too large to be regular wolves. Did something cast a spell on these wolves? Were they bred to be larger than normal wolves. He could tell by the paws racing along the ground.
"Danger approaches," he added, snarling.

...Now isn't that interesting... Royll thought as his dance stopped and his blade fell rather easily to his side. He was surprised at the speed the fox retained, but it hardly mattered; it seemed that in his transformed state the boy wasn't as hostile as he let on. And following that same line of thought, it almost appeared as if they were separate entities from each other. Regardless, the shifter was right danger was headed their way, and Royll would answer with a tilt of his hat and a quick gesture of his blade. ...Drawn to the power I gathered...? The small particles of blue light now saw fit to dance over his head, and it would be obvious that they were not for just a pretty light show. Originally intended to be used on the fox, Royll redirected them and they soon flew over in the direction of the rapidly gathering wolves. As this happened the hatted man shifted his gaze over to the shifter. "I'll slow them down a bit...why don't ya use this as an opportunity to flank 'em?" There was a smirk behind the thin lining of his words that suggested that it was more of an order than a question. However, it would still be entirely up to the fox should he follow it or not. That being said, he suddenly rammed his sword straight into the ground, causing a small fissure to form at his feet. "Sumekia special: Hell Rain!" Upon the command, the energy gathered above the wolves formed into a dozen or so particle swords. Their blue shimmered in the light of the moon, and they too fell from the sky upon the wolves whom perhaps were expecting such to happen; for many saw fit to dodge the blades. Regardless, a few were hit, and smoke flew up into the air from the small explosions that occurred. This was the fox's chance.

Doku nodded and sheathed his swords. He dropped down to all four paws and bounded forward, his silver fur bristling. He picked up speed and let out a loud snarl as he hit the first wolf. The wolf he hit was larger than the rest, no doubt the alpha male. It had black fur with fiery green eyes. For a few moments, the only thing Doku noticed were the claws and fangs flashing in the moon light and the heavy smell of blood. The rolled several yards back, hitting a few other wolves. Then they separated.
Doku stood facing the other wolf. He kept his ears laying flat on his head, fur fluffed up to make him look twice his size. His fangs were bared at the alpha. Suddenly the alpha howled and the other wolves leaped at him. He was brought to the ground, the fur of the other wolves smothering him and the smell choking him. He felt fangs and claws rake through his thick fur, looking for skin. A few made contact, drawing blood. He reached for the surface and within a few moments he made it out. He took a large leap and bounded away from the huge wolf pile. He was quickly pursued by one wolf. He turned and grabbed the wolf, one paw and arm went around the wolf's neck while the other grabbed its snout. In one quick motion, the wolf's neck broke.
Doku let out a large roar, showing the rest of the wolves that he wasn't intimidated, although he was a little bit. He unsheathed his swords again and watched as the wolves ran towards him again.

I was foolish to think they were unorganized... Royll thought, as he watched the progression of battle. Although, he hadn't predicted the presence of a pack leader, it seemed that the boy had done so far before him. As it were, he wouldn't have it any other way; after all it begets and beast to understand beast. Regardless, shortly after Doku broke free from the pack, Royll saw fit to interfere. His sword had been long since retrieved from the ground, and as one step proceeded into a flash, he quickly progressed across the field and cut a few of the advancing wolves off. It was at this point he gave the fox-boy a smirk and a thumbs up. There was no need to inflict fatal wounds upon the wolves, after all, there had to be reason behind this sudden attack and Royll was determined to find it out. With another step, he fell into a dance; a dance with his blade. Just as fast as before, and it seemed that the wolves were not taking to kindly to it as they each fell to it. All there was was a flash of pure silver, and the spurting of blood. It even began to cover Royll's face. However, that didn't bother him in the least bit. Now, this isn't to say Royll himself escaped unscathed. Quite the contrary, there's a massive price to implore such speed as his. A price that he knew all too well. With each passing second his strength was fading, and with such the edge of his sword was dulling. It might not be apparent now, as he dodge barred fangs, and was slashed by clawed paws; but his blade was no ordinary one. In fact, the only reason it gleamed was because of the strange blue energy around it. Without that energy, the edge of the vary sword ceased to exist. ...I shouldn't push myself right now...but this boy...he may know something about her whereabouts. I must help him survive this... By this point, his hat had fallen off. It was trampled by one of the wolves. And yet, the dance continued so.

Doku watched at man as he appeared. He noticced the man dance with the wolves, although he always got new dance partners as the others fell to his blade. He was so distracted, he almost forgot about the others. The alpha appeared in front of him. He snarled at the wolf, his grip tightening on his swords. He lunged forward as the wolf leaped at him. His swords were quickly moving through the air. When they both landed, the wolf had only half of his right ear and a long gash along his right side. Doku noticed it stumble.
He looked at it, waiting for it to attack again, but it just stood there. It looked at Doku, its fangs bared. But then it perked up. It let out a commanding bark and bounded away, the wolves that were still alive, followed. Doku narrowed his eyes. The sound was so low that only one with animal senses could hear it. "They are slaves," he stated, sitting down.He licked the gash the man had given him before the wolves had came. He had a scar across his muzzle and his left ear had a V-shaped cut in it from where a wolf had gotten him. He forced his fur to lie flat. It was slick and crimson with blood.
"Do you have enemies.... chasing you?" he asked, trying to say the last two words so that it didn't sound like a huge growl.
